  • Great opportunity thanks to all

  • In one minute everyone in our group was pushing themselves to do as many as possible! We were super impressed by the speed! Even for those who aren't able to mobilise without support!!

  • Over 40,000: This is an achievement from different neuro-physio private practices, neuro-wards etc. all over Belgium.

  • Squeezed a few extras into a busy evening!

  • I did 100! And exercise is not normally my thing

  • I broke my record!

  • Did some whilst shopping for a dress for my wedding - and whilst shovelling breakfast into my kids

  • Go for it!!!!!

  • Getting back to a fit level having been in hospital several times this year. Having had Parkinson’s since 2009, I have tried to work at keeping my muscles active , to prevent getting stiff, and allowing PD to take over. So all of you out there it has worked for me, I maybe slower but I am doing OK

  • This is on behalf of everyone who joined North London Neuro Physio today- our PD Zoom class, physios, friends and family!! Thank you

WHY DID PEOPLE TAKE PART?

  • Get people moving whatever their level

Whether you do 10 sit to stands or 1000 on the day it doesn’t matter. This is your challenge. Think about what you can do now and set yourself an aspirational target.

  • Encourage people who do not exercise to start

Managing long term conditions especially Parkinson’s is about increasing your exercise levels. This can be daunting. Use this challenge to start exercising.

  • Push yourself

For people who already exercise why not set yourself a challenge. Or even better get your competitive juices flowing and challenge your friends along side you.

  • Show people they can push themselves harder....Intensity is key!

We often hear people saying WOW I didn’t know I could achieve that! For people with Parkinson’s research has shown that working at a high intensity can have a positive impact on disease progression

  • Raise awareness of the importance of exercise for PwP

We want to work with all exercise providers, healthcare professionals, consultants, charities and all the other providers doing an awesome job to raise awareness for Parkinson’s. Why not join us in doing so!

  • Grow a caring powerful national and global community

Show PwP they are not alone. Show them that their health care professionals, consultants, friends and families are standing up to Parkinson’s alongside them!
